The consumer reports web sight rated this treadmill very well. I researched the manual one's on the computer before buying. It is heavier than some of the other manual one's I looked at,which for me is a good thing, that makes it sturdier. It's about 14lbs. heavier than some of the other one's. I'm 52yrs. old, with heart problems, so my cardiologist recommended a treadmill for exercise. I put it at the end of my bed. I like the magnetic adjustment that is on the machine, the other one's don't have this feature. It adjusts the tension on the moving belt so you can start out easy, then make it harder when you get better at it. Easy to put together, need two people. Belt adjustment is easy also, I had to adjust several times to get it right, but once you get used to doing it, it's easy." "This is the first treadmill for me, so I cannot compare with others.
